Athletic influences and sporty styles have proved to be style all-stars: inspiring fashion collections and even making an appearance at the office. But what made us launch our own tall men's athletic wear collection?

You. Since we founded American Tall, we’ve received emails and messages asking us for our same great fitting, hard wearing tall clothes in more relaxed styles.

So we decided to design the classic, comfort essentials you’ll go to day in, day out—those pieces that you’ll want to put on as soon as you get home from work, and those you’ll live in on the weekend. We spent time thinking about how to deliver on your wish list—soft, but hard wearing; comfy but well-cut; versatile enough to wear to the gym and in the rest of your life—to create a capsule collection of tall men's athletic wear essentials that can be worn together or mixed into your work-to-weekend wardrobe.

We designed these styles in superfine French terry fabric, in three wear-with-anything colors—grey mix, charcoal and black. From tall hoodies to tall sweatpants, cozy up to our favorite new pieces, just in time for winter.

Shorts Story

In brief: We’ve designed what we think are the ideal tall shorts: trim without being tight, short without being NSFW (Not safe for work). As tall men, we know that most conventional shorts become thigh high, showing a little too much, covering not nearly enough. We’ve been there, we’re done with that. This style offers a 12” inseam and a 23” outseam, with an internal drawstring that allows you to wear them a little higher or lower. These are the perfect length to be both fashionable and functional. The un-brushed loop-back fabric keeps its shape well, making them ideal for jogging around the neighborhood, shooting hoops with friends and kicking back at home. Wear any of our tall mens athletic wear how you want and when you want.

Everyday Ease

The dilemma with introducing a line of casual basics is that you won’t want to wear anything else. With that in mind, we kept the shapes streamlined and the colors classic so that you can mix and match each tall piece of tall mens athletic wear with your existing tall outfits for looks as cool as they are cozy.
