CLOTHING CARE

Here are some tips to get the longest life out of your garment.

HOW TO EXTEND YOUR ITEM’S LIFE

Best Bet
When in doubt, always reference the garment's care label for specific care instructions.

Keep the Length: Cold Wash, Air Dry is Always Best If Possible
We're leading the industry in processes that help to reduce shrinkage. Because natural fibers like cotton inevitably shrink in certain conditions, it's always best to machine wash in cold water and hang or lay flat. If machine dry is unavoidable, use low heat. You can expect 1-3% shrinkage in the length if you tumble dry on low heat.

Separate Bright Colours
We suggest you:

  • - Individually wash dark denim or bright colored garments before wearing them
  • - Avoid washing bright colored garments with anything light in color
  • - Maintain space around any colored garments while wet to avoid color transfer
  •

Like with Like Fabrics
Our performance collection items are best washed inside out with other synthetic fabrics. Avoid contact with abrasive materials such as zippers and velcro.

Sweat-Wicking Gear and Fabric Softener Don’t Mix
Fabric softener can create a filmy layer that inhibits sweat-wicking properties. Avoid its use on technical fabrics.

HOW TO WASH DIFFERENT FABRICS

Best Practices in General
We recommend:

  • - Machine wash with like colors
  • - Avoid using fabric softeners to ensure improved garment longevity
  • - Avoid contact with abrasive materials like zippers and Velcro
  • - For best results and extended garment lifespan, hang to dry or tumble dry low
  • - Expect most garments to shrink 1-3 % if tumble dried on low. Synthetic blends usually shrink less than this.

For Natural Fibers and Natural Blend Materials
We recommend:

  • - Machine wash cold on low or delicate setting
  • - Avoid fabric softeners and abrasive fabrics/materials
  • - Lay flat to dry, or hang to dry to avoid shrinkage. If you prefer to tumble dry make sure to select the low setting and expect 1-3% shrinkage.

Outerwear Collection
We recommend:

  • - Fasten buckles, close zippers, seal Velcro
  • - Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
  • - Use less detergent than usual to avoid residue buildup which can inhibit the water-repellent properties of your garment

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you offer any wrinkle-free items?
We don't currently offer any wrinkle free products due to the harsh effects of the chemicals used on both the body and the environment, however, we're looking into safer options for the future.

How can I avoid wrinkles after washing my garments?
Hanging garments immediately after wash cycle finishes should help to decrease wrinkling.

How do I get rid of garment wrinkles?
If wrinkles persist after hang-drying, we suggest steaming or lightly pressing your garments when fully dry.

How much shrinkage should I expect after washing?
You can expect 1-3% shrinkage on most garments if dried on the low setting, but it's best to remove from the dryer before fully dry. Please note, for items which we suggest to hang or lay flat to dry, additional shrinkage will result if placed in the dryer.

How do I care for my knitted sweaters?
Our sweaters should be washed in the washing machine and laid flat to dry to avoid hanger stretch marks and loss of garment shape.
