The secret to staying dry—and dapper—in even the worst of spring’s showers is to invest in an umbrella made by experts in rotten, rainy weather.
Established in 2008 by designer Jamie Milestone with the goal of creating an umbrella that was “an indispensible, quintessentially British accessory,” London Undercover has successfully achieved their founding mandate. Hand made in London, these tall-friendly bumbershoots (with handle heights of up to 36”) come in styles both classic—a carved beech wood rabbit’s head grip with a single layer tartan cloth canopy, £160—and contemporary—a 3D Camo print in premium double layer canvas, £135. Our favourite, though, may just be the City Gent Lifesaver, both for its name and pleasing simplicity—bright orange nylon paired with an unflappable Malacca wood handle and beech wood shaft, £95.
